Is it just me, or did this year fly by at record speed? And no, I’m not ready to look back just yet – a little early for that whole “year in review” thing.
But what I *can* tell you is that November’s shaping up to be a pretty great month for me.
Let me give you a peek: I’ll be heading to Stockholm *and* Dublin. And that’s not even the end of the month, so who knows what other surprises November has in store for me?
We also have a new family member: Beau, our Jack Russell! I’m even taking him to puppy class. I can’t wait to see how we bond – although I think that it doesn’t get much closer than we already are. Back in the day, I had three cats, but this is a whole new level of fun with the kids.
This month I have a dentist’s hygiene appointment, which I’m just *thrilled* about (read: totally dreading). I’m keeping up with my dental routine like a champ, so here’s hoping the hygienist gives me a huge compliment. If not… might have to find another one. I saw something on LinkedIn the other day: “Listen to your own body and trust yourself with healthcare decisions, because sometimes it’s all just a moneymaker.” I could go down a rabbit hole on that one, but I’ll spare you. Different blog, different day!
Oh, and yes, I’m going to a party (AGAIN) with a friend of mine. Because we can’t have *enough* updates from wild nights out, right? Just kidding, we don't drink, we don't smoke, we are just perfect. Now read that again haha.
I’ve planned a big birthday bash for my oldest, who’s turning nine, and of course, we’ll be celebrating with family too.
Oh, and here’s one: I’m finally getting my eyebrows done! I’ve been back and forth on this decision forever, but here we go. I’ll be brave. If you see me rocking bold brows, be aware it's still me.
And, of course, we’re squeezing in some Netflix time amidst all the chaos. Someone recently told me I *have* to watch *Ex Machina.* Apparently, it’s amazing, so I’m curious to see what the hype is all about.
But speaking of series, there’s one I’m absolutely obsessed with: *The Penguin.* OMG, this show is *so* good! Colin Farrell is totally unrecognizable – the transformation is incredible. If you haven’t watched it yet, drop everything now.... New episodes are dropping weekly.
And then, there’s my all-time favorite… *The Boys!* I’m counting down the days until I can dive back into that wild universe. Last season was absolutely nuts – but that’s exactly what I love, and yes, it totally inspires me as a writer.
And let’s not forget that final kid’s birthday party (a friend of my oldest daughter) at the end of November, my actual job, all the household stuff, working on my novel, writing more blogs… and just like that, the month will be gone!
Sounds intense? Wait for my next blog ;)
